Although no one likes the thought of having to require medical care while on a cruise it is never the less a relief to know that if it is required it is there.
ORIANA's fully equipped medical centre is located forward on deck 4.
Boasting a staff of fully qualified Doctors and Nurses who are able to treat the majority of illnesses and medical complaints.
Despite being fully equipped there are occasionally instances when at the the medical staffs discretion a patients would benefit from being transferred to a land based hospital.
Because medical costs are not covered in the price of a cruise, a charge is made to see the Doctor and have treatment the only exception is when a case Norovirus is diagnosed in that case the treatment is free of charge
The Medical Centre is open from 8am to 10am and again from 4:30pm until 6:30pm although if a medical emergency arises the medical team are available 24 hours a day.
