Below we see further images of ORIANA in Blohm + Voss alongside QUEEN MARY 2 shortly before her departure.
While both were named in Southampton by Her Majesty the Queen and both hold serve as the fastest in their respective fleets the two vessels make a striking contrast to each other with opinion on which features finer lines being purely a personal preference.
It is also of interest to compare that for the Cunard flagship this was her 6th refit in just under 8 years of service in comparison to ORIANA having had about the same amount in her 16 years in service.

"As with her cherished namesake and her sister the sacred CANBERRA, old acquaintance will be more than enough to ensure that whenever the great ships of Britain are brought to mind, another ORIANA shall now never be forgot."
