Continuing with unique images from ORIANA's early days we take a brief look at how ORIANA was portrayed in media during March/April 1995.
Firstly we have another news article from broadcaster ITN briefly detailing her naming ceremony in Southampton.
We then conclude with two newspaper articles from March and April respectively.
In the age of the modern cruise liner the publicity around ORIANA's début stand out as something of unique aspect to a cruise ships introduction with it being more akin to the national pride and pristage that was once attached to the Ocean Liners.
"As with her cherished namesake and her sister the sacred CANBERRA, old acquaintance will be more than enough to ensure that whenever the great ships of Britain are brought to mind, another ORIANA shall now never be forgot."
