Below are a selection of photos from P&O's new blog detailing some of the work taken place on board and around ORIANA.
Firstly ORIANA's elegantly sharp bow is seen resting on the wooden blocks of the drydock.
While some other photos reveal for the first time some of the work taken place on board ORIANA.
Firstly we see The Pacific Lounge music venue stripped of its decor and seating undergoing a transformation to a new style.
Followed by the Theatre Royal which in keeping in the spirit it was first built with is undergoing a revamp and having new lighting and effects installed once again returning itto the forefront of proper seagoing theatres.
Finally a the former Outer space teens area is seen devoid of its fitting and fixtures now a maze of piping and bare metal in preparation for the installation of the new cabins, in the distance the glass doors of the neighbouring Decibels 9 to 12 year clubs can be seen still in place.

"As with her cherished namesake and her sister the sacred CANBERRA, old acquaintance will be more than enough to ensure that whenever the great ships of Britain are brought to mind, another ORIANA shall now never be forgot."
