Two cruising stars of their generation in Ponta Delgada

Ponta Delgada, capital of the Azores, welcomed once again one of theirs most regular visitors, ORIANA returning home after a caribbean transantlantic cruise, which was mentioned here during her Madeira call at the beginning of her voyage.
Meanwhile ORIANA is currently eastbound the NCL's NORWEGIAN EPIC is westbound and also visited Ponta Delgada.A rainy day in the Azores was the stage for a meeting of two cruising stars of their generation, ORIANA a highly expected ship in the 90's before her launch, technologically advanced and especially built for the british market, and EPIC one of the most popular cruise ships in the market nowadays thanks to her innovative interiors and life onboard.ORIANA arrived from Key West in early morning and awaited for EPIC's berthing in "Portas do Mar" terminal, then proceeding hers to the south comercial terminal where she stayed until late afternoon leaving afterwards to Southampton. We recall that ORIANA is only one cruise away from her next refit that will see her be converted to adults only and with some minor changes. A new phase is about to begin in ORIANA's life.
