Celebrities on board ORIANA

Since ORIANA's entry into service many famous faces from sport stars to comedians and musicians have graced her decks for the entertainment of her passengers and along the way a member of the ships original crew made something of a name for herself in the UK as an actress, presenter and singer.

On board entertainment is perhaps one of the most important aspects of the whole cruise experience from the in house theatre company the Headliners to guest lecturers it can sometimes be hard to keep all passengers with their varying tastes amused.

For ORIANA one of the most frequent guest visitors is comedian Tom O'Connor known to many as a presenter from the 1970s he has been a guest on board on many occasions since her Maiden Voyage where he gave his opinion of P&O's stunning new flagship as shown below.


On her 2009 Christmas Cruise in a first for the ship ORIANA proudly hosted on board prolific 60's soul singer Jimmy James who with his band the Vagabonds made several successful covers of songs including Red Red Wine.

For a certain Claire Janye Sweeney one ORIANA's entertainers on on her Maiden Cruise it was just the beginning of her career having started some years before with CANBERRA and also starred in television dramas.Claire Sweeny appears on the cover of the maiden voyage entertainment guide
She has since gone on to become a successful singer, television personality and west end theatre star.
