End of an era

Today at 11am ORIANA cast off from Berth 106 , The Mayflower Cruise Terminal for the last time in her current form on route to Hamburg and the Blohm + Voss shipyard where she will undergo her conversion to adult only cruising.
As of 13:30 today ORIANA was east of the Isle of White on a heading for the North Sea to begin her overnight transit.
ORIANA was last detected by the site LocalizaTodo at 14:31 at a speed of 16.9 knots on route to the Norths Sea.

ORIANA’s arrival at Hamburg is expected to be at 9am tomorrow morning.

While ORIANA’s refit period has been extended by 10 days cruises which had been originally planned for ORIANA’s original return to service date have been suggested to new cruises introduced to fleet mate ARCADIA’s cruising schedule.

Cruises J113N & J133P have been introduced for passengers who had been booked on ORIANA cruises X119, X120N & X121

Other alternatives being suggested are on board fleet mate AURORA (cruise R117) and sister brand Cunard’s QUEEN ELIZABETH (cruise Q202P)

We will of course keep up to date here at ORIANAof1995 as soon as we hear any news on ORIANA's progress.
