One venue 16 years.

Deck 8 also known a D Deck of ORIANA's passenger accommodation is where most of the changes to her interiors is taking place.
Alongside P&O's questionable decision to add new cabins and balconies to the aft end of the deck
The former Curzon Room is also having yet another change made to it.
When ORIANA first entered service the room was an elegant piano recital venue a updated version of The Meridian Room from CANBERRA
Artists impression of The Curzon Room released in the Summer of 1994.

In 2006 many of ORIANA's regular cruisers were dismayed to learn that during a upcoming refit the room was to become a Restaurant for Celebrity chef Gary Rhodes who already had a restaurant on the then latest new build addition of the fleet ARCADIA.
Although initially there was much opposition from passengers the venue did attract quite a number of passengers as an alternative to the Main Dining Rooms and proved to be quite popular.

When ORIANA returns to service in December again the venue will have had some alterations with it being taken over by another celebrity Chef Marco Pierre White and renamed as Ocean Grill.
Marco's first P&O restaurant was on board VENTURA in the White Room and later that year was expanded to AURORA.
From next year all ships except AZURA will feature a venue of his
P&O Marco Pierre White publicity image.

Although possibly some will be wondering if the alternative restaurant will be as successful as its predecessor one still wonders if the former children's area would serve the passengers better as a replacement for the The Curzon Room rather than cabins.
