A famous ship to Hamburg

With ORIANA within the last 5 days of her family friendly cruising days we can confirm that ORIANA will indeed return to her country of 'Birth' Germany for her upcoming refit and conversion to adult only cruising.
However unlike her previous refits which took place at the historic yard of Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven ORIANA will instead head to the port of Hamburg and another historic yard Blohm + Voss.
Famous for among other things having built what was between 1914 & 1935 the largest ship in the world White Star Lines RMS MAJESTIC (ex BISMARCK) and also the largest ship built in a German yard for 81 years until ORIANA's launch in 1995.
According to Southampton's Cruise ship Schedule ORIANA will depart from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at 16:30 on the 15th November and will arrive back in Southampton during the 18th December in preparation for her Christmas cruise commencing the following day.
During the course of the refit ORIANA will meet her fellow Carnival stable-mate from sister line Cunard QUEEN MARY 2 who also will be dry docking in the yard.
